History
Jean Chamblee was born in 1961 in Statesville, North Carolina. She was raised by Christian parents and attended the Methodist Church while growing up.
In 1974 she attended a Christian concert and went forward to an alter call to receive Jesus as her Savior. Unfortunately she was not in a place to be discipled and drifted into a wild party girl lifestyle for a season. In 1980, however, while attending the University of East Carolina she had a dramatic experience with the Lord that altered her life forever. In that moment of encounter with the Lord in her dorm room she bowed her knee and gave her life to Christ to serve Him all of her days. She was filled with the Spirit and began to follow Him daily as the Lord and Master of her life.
Life has not been easy but Jesus Christ has seen her through it all. Her music is full of the honesty, pain, and joy of her own personal journey with Christ.
Jean has served God in many different ways. She has been on two missionary journeys, served as worship leader for several churches, been director of Jr. High ministries, womens ministries, taught childrens church and been involved in street evangelism.
She is a Bible School Graduate and has continued her studies throughout the years.
Jean is available to come to your church or evangelistic event and sing the songs from her CD. She requires no payment, but would like to be able to sell her CDs at the event (love offerings are welcome too).
Feel free to contact her by phone or e-mail. Im sure she will be a blessing to your church or group event.
